The 8th gen version feels comperable to my SB2 for creative tasks.Įdit: no pen jitter on the G4 - it’s just like drawing on her Wacom cintiq touch HD, except in 4K and no wires at all which she loves. We tested one of those out for a month and it was super slow. Again - make sure to get the 8th gen Intel version - they do make a 7th gen version as well.
If you are even considering the Wacom mobile studio, you should check out the ZBook. She loves her ZBook x2 G4 for pro art creation. The other issues with the Wacom Mobile Studio are that it’s a 6th gen Intel chip (vs 8th gen in the ZBook x2 G4) and it doesn’t have a built in kickstand so you have to buy an extra plastic attachment (vs the build in metal kickstand in the ZBook)īottom line: I love my SB2 for work, music production, and gaming. Plus it has 100% of the Adobe RGB spectrum so she doesn’t need to do any additional color correcting. It uses Wacom tech for the pen and the drawing experience for her was better.
My GF is a full time artist and while she very much liked using my SB2, the HP was better for her. We have the version with the 8th gen Intel i7 in our household.
